10/11/14 - Fish, Hranz, Right3ous, Shadow, and me, Claire
[Meta-Notes] We added Right to our campaign, so we did this last session online using roll20, a free online virtual tabletop. I used it for just our visual aids and each player controlled their own character dot on the maps. It was really neat. Took some extra time setting it up than if we were to have played at my kitchen table again, but was worth the extra effort because not everytime will we be able to gather round the table.
Some character changes were made~ Fish and Hranz made new characters, picking up in exp where the others had left off; and Right had joined us.
Dranz (Hranz) decided to play Giant's Feet some more with some of the local dwarves. He ended up "dying" somehow and his corpse was recovered from the bottom of the pit by the newcomer Meliodas (Hranz). Fish (Fish), the Deva got sick of our group and decided to leave as we were "unworthy". Aria (Fish), a bard joined our plight instead. We also met Boradas (Right) for the first time as well, a Human Cleric.
Getting back to Hammerfast, the group was met by Marsinda Goldspinner, a "big" dwarf (her dot was just bigger than the others haha). She petitioned the adventurers to escort her son's caravan to the town over and back safely. After a short question and answer session, the adventurer's agreed. They resupplied and went out with Galwik Goldspinner, heading west out of town towards the plains.
About halfway to the other town, the group was set upon by a pack of wolves. Claire of course, can't hit a door standing still and just kept one of the wolves busy as the other party members swiftly and surely removed the other threats. They came over to join her afterwards. Shadow decided that he wanted to skin the wolves for fur and for meat. No one had a dagger or a hunting knife on them, so he he used his long sword. He mutilated two of the 5 corpses and was successful at almost-not-mutilating two others. He recovered two pelts, some meat, and 20 gold pieces out of one of the wolves' stomach. Right decided to follow suit and tried to skin the fifth wolf with his hammer. He was of course, covered in blood and entrails. Both of the men stank to high heaven and Shadow was suffering in a daze because of his stench. He fell over once or twice and had to walk behind the caravan to be down wind from the rest of the party.
Thankfully, all other encounters were avoided because of the smell, and the group made their way to the next town uneventfully the rest of the way. There, Aria, being a bard in a town that revers bards, was able to ensure free board and room for the party, and some baths... which were used immediately. They stayed the night there and the next morning the caravan was loaded with the trade goods they were sent to pick up and they left for home shortly after.
Along the way back home, they encountered a pair of Orcs with their pet Dire Boar. The boar hit hard and Aria was seriously hurt. Thanks to her allies though, that was quickly remedied. Claire still couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.. so the rest of the party was able to slowly but surely took care of the two orcs and the boar. Aria found a pair of waning magic glasses in one of the tents at their campsite. Right found a grappling hook and a lantern in another, as well as a "love scene" leftovers...
They quickly left the Orc camp to be soon stopped by a Halfling Bandit. Meliodas scared the bejeebers out of the halfling with a Bluff and Intimidate and the party was shocked when they saw 9 bandits skulk away with their tails between their legs. The rest of the journey back to Hammerfast was uneventful.
Upon arriving in Hammerfast, again, the group saw a Dwarf, standing on a soap box, preaching to all those who would listen about how all the non-dwarves were making trouble in their town; how bandit problems were rising, and how life would be better if all the non-dwarves were removed from Hammerfast. He was quickly escorted away by the local guards before a riot could ensue.
Marsinda and Galkwik Goldspinner rewarded the adventurers with gold and a magic item apiece for the successful trip and offered them a free stay at the Coach and Pony Inn. The adventurers were happy and took the rest of the day off to relax and unwind.

Dungeons & Dragons with Cherries [1]
10/4/2014 - Hammerfast Campaign (Hranz, Fish, Shadow, & Claire)
Basic overview, writing this down while it's still fresh in my mind. I plan on making a better story out of it later ^_^
Dranz, Fish, Shadow, and Claire reached Hammerfast early in the morning.
Dranz challenges a dwarf to a game of Giant's Feet. He and the dwarf end up both falling into the pit. Dranz throws Fish into the pit for putting him up to the game in the first place.
We learn from a dwarf back in the pub during a drinking contest with Dranz that there is an outpost to the North of Hammerfast that the dwarf would love to visit again. The dwarf agrees to lead them to the outpost.
Along the way, Shadow scares the piss out of two bandits and the whole party clears through a small pack of wolves.
Upon reaching the outpost, the dwarf leaves to return to Hammerfast and the party begins exploring the first floor of the outpost. Fish finds a magical talisman and ring, and an old ritual book. Suddenly the party is attacked from the stairway by an orc who swiftly falls. Another replaces him who fairs no better. Upstairs, the party finds a piece of pricey art of the last General to govern the outpost. Apparently he was a coward who hid in his quarters during that final battle. Upon exploring said quarters, the party happens upon a Leader Orc and his lackey. It was a tough battle but the four champions made it through in the end, salvaging some blades and armor. The party takes the painting and stays the night at the outpost held up in the General's Quarters with thankfully no night-time activity.
Come morning they head back towards Hammerfast. Halfway there, they meet up with the dwarf who led them to the outpost in the first place. He looks a lilttle trigger happy and inquires about the goods that they got. Meeting resistance, the dwarf attacks the party and... Let's just say "It was not his day." The dwarf suffers severe wounds and is killed almost immediatly. Upon his helm was engraved his name, Edward Dwarfington III Esquire. Shadow took the dwarf's warhammer and proceeded to smash the helm to dust and then miraculously turned the dwarf himself into dust with the same hammer. They continued back to Hammerfast uneventfully where they appraise their loot and sell the unwanted items and the painting.

Alice's Story pt. 3
Alice's Story (cont'd)
The smell of fresh ground coffee stirred me from a fitful sleep. The sound of sizzling breakfast made me smile. Mom always made the best morning food. I threw the blankets over the back of the couch and stood up stretching. I could hear Mom humming as I walked into the kitchen.
"Good morning darling." She chimed, pouring two large mugs of the delicious brew. "Milk and sugar, right?"
"Yes please." I settled into a chair at the table and breathed deeply the smell of her cooking. Mom went back to the frying pan and I felt nervous all of a sudden. I don't normally just show up at her house in the middle of the night without a good reason. "I'm sorry for barging in on you Mom."
"It's ok baby. That's why you have a key." She smiled and slid some eggs and bacon onto two plates and the toaster popped. "Like I said before, you don't have to tell me any reasons to why you're here. I'm just happy that you're here and you're safe." She set down one of the plates in front of me with a fork.
"Thanks Mom." I began to dig into the yummy over easy eggs and chewy bacon. She let me get a few bites down before she started talking about the upcoming garage sales she was going to go to and her plans for the day out shopping.
"Want to hang out with me today? It's only a couple errands and then we can hit up the bookstore or something." She sipped her coffee.
"I wish Mom. I have to head into work this afternoon. I was just hoping to hang at your house until I had to go in. Last night was.." My throat seemed to close down on the words. My eyes started tearing up and before I could get out another word a sob came out instead.
"It's ok Alice. It's ok baby." She came around the table with her chair and sat next to me, wrapping her arms around me. I don't know how long exactly I sobbed, but it felt like forever. My eyes were red and sore and my nose as bright as Rudolph's when I finally regained control. "It's ok Alice. It's over, you don't have to deal with it anymore."
"Thanks Mom." I sniffled. "I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me. Last night was.. Last night was scary. Nothing bad happened that I can remember. I was walking home from work, then I was suddenly on the ground. Next I remember waking up in some old apartment with these two guys and they just let me go. I don't think anything happened, but I was so scared, so confused. They just let me go though. One of them put a weird necklace.." I reached up and fingered the rope around my neck. It was soft as silk, flat but about as wide as a pencil, with three flat oval beads spaced on the front.
"That's a beautiful necklace. Why do you think they gave it to you?"
"I'm not sure. But I couldn't understand what they were saying at first, and after he put it on me, they made perfect sense."
"Hmmmm." She touched the necklace softly. "Maybe you should take it off?"
I reached around the rope trying to find a clasp. Mom went to her junk drawer and pulled out a pair of scissors. When she came close and tried to slid one of the blades under the necklace it seemed to tighten on my neck and she wasn't able to get around it. I started choking and she moved away and it loosened.
"Oh my god Mom. This is not good." My eyes felt hot again.
"Don't worry, we'll figure out how to get it off."
We spent the next hour trying different things to get the necklace off. Any attempt though made it tighten and start to suffocate me. As soon as we backed off, it loosened again.
"We might just have to leave it for now Mom." Tears were streaming down my face again and my neck felt raw from trying to remove the necklace. She sat down again next to me and held me in her arms.
"Ok. Well, I think you should call in today to work and just rest on my couch all day. You've had a rough night and deserve to relax. I'm going to clean up in here then get ready to head out. You can come with me if you'd like, but otherwise I think you should rest."
"Ok Mom." I gave her one more tight squeeze before standing and walking back into the living room. "Thank you for breakfast. And the hug." I smiled at her and she smiled back. I curled up on the couch with the blanket and used the remote to turn on the TV to a news channel.

Who are you really?
Alice's Story (cont'd)
"What's your name?" Jaron asked me. Like hell I was going to give my name.
"Look mister, I don't know what kind of joke this is turning into, but you don't fraternize with your hostages." I glanced around the room. The door was on the far side and Gavot was standing in front of the window. From what I could see past him, we didn't look to be on the first floor. So unless I was willing to risk breaking a leg, or my neck, the window seems out of the option.
"She's frightened and probably thinks we're going to hurt her still, Jaron." Gavot said.
"What can we do to gain her trust?" Jaron sighed and stepped back to lean against the door.
"First off, you can not stand between her and the door. We're on the 4th level of this building and that is the only exit. Second," Gavot turned to face me again. "Young lady, can I help you up? You were knocked down rather hard when we entered this world. I do apologize for that. As Jaron's guard, he is my top priority in all events. We can get you something to drink if you need it."
"No, I just want to go home." I backed away from his outstretched hand and lifted myself to standing next to the bed.
"Very well." Jaron spoke. Gavot looked at him surprised.
"We can't just let her go. We need a guide for this world."
"We can't keep her prisoner either. It's a very bad step to starting in this world." Jaron moved across the room to stand next to his guard. Gavot must have understood something I didn't because he looked settled on the decision Jaron had just made. I back crawled over the bed so that they were on the other side of the room from me and sidled over towards the door. Jaron raised his hands up, palms flat to me, showing he was unarmed. Gavot just stood there with his arms crossed across his chest.
I reached the door finally and cracked it open, quickly glancing to see if anyone was on the far side. Seeing no one, I quickly stepped through. I heard Jaron shout, "Remember us, we still need you in the future." I ran for the front door and threw it open, bolting into the hallway and down flights of stairs. I ran all the way to my Mother's house 15 blocks away in Hampton with never looking behind me. Thankfully she was asleep already when I came in with my key. There was no way I was staying alone tonight in my apartment. I quietly grabbed an extra blanket from the hallway closet and snuggled down on the couch. It was a long time before I could fall asleep, tossing and turning, jumping at all the small noises coming from the house. Eventually I turned on the TV and fell asleep to a rerun of Jimmy Fallon.
I realize now that I never pointed out a location in the first post..I'll make sure to clarify as the story goes on. Forgive any grammar mistakes. This was a stream of consciousness post.
